Tenderlee Motion Pictures Company has acquired the film rights to Hugleikur Dagsson’s “Garðarshólmi” (The Saga Island) which appeared in the Icelandic phone directory in 2007-2008. The story is an animated epic about a group of kids who have to find the elusive Christmas Cat. Mr. Dagsson gained notoriety for his “Help Us, Save Us” comics. He has also written 3 plays. Hugleikur is writing the screenplay with Thorsson set to direct the film which he describes as a mix of low-fi meets hi-fi filmmaking. Tenderlee is developing a motion control camera set-up for the film with the tech wizards at Keilir, Technical University.
